Just wanted to
give MWCR an update on Harry who we adopted in
April 2002.
Harry has adjusted so well to
his new home as you will remember he is 9 years
"young" and just a real delight, so well
trained, and has such a great personality. He
does like to get up early, usually around 5:30
a.m. he pushes open the bedroom door and either
nuzzles or jumps on the bed to say it is time to
go for a walk in the woods to wake up the deer,
squirrels or other critters he can find.
He is very sociable with other
dogs (well most of them) and has made friends
with Barney next door a golden retriever they
enjoy playing and taking long walks with their
masters around the neighborhood.
Harry is somewhat afraid of
storms but as he feels more at home his anxiety
is improving in that regard.
As the old song goes "I'm Just
Wild About Harry, and Harry is wild about me".
Thank you again for the opportunity to welcome
Harry into our home.

Hi Lorri,
Just wanted to update you on Harry. As you may remember we adopted him on April 2 from his foster home in Merrill, WI.
Well, the past 2 months have
gone by so quickly and we are completely in love
with Harry and believe he feels the same about
us. He is a wonderful new family member. The
only problem we have experienced is his fear of
storms and we did get him some medication from
the vet to ease his anxiety when a storm is
severe. We haven't figured out what went on in
his past as whenever it storms he starts
scratching at closet doors. So we're not sure if
he was put in a room without windows or what.
He is a beautiful dog and all
our neighbors think he is very handsome. He
loves going for long walks in the woods but
seems to think he needs to herd deer whenever he
sees them and especially loves to chase
squirrels!
We are so thankful that Vicki
offered us the opportunity to have Harry, he is
just a great dog.

Just an
update on our new family member Harry.
Harry is a delight - we've had him less than a
week and have fallen in love with him - and
think he feels the same from his view point
(which is usually the sofa in the family room).
He is adjusting well to his new home, just gets
a little anxious if both of us are gone at the
same time for a little while.
Harry is so well trained, walks well and loves going into the woods to chase squirrels and takes great interest in the deer which frequent the neighborhood including our back yard. Several neighbors have stopped by to welcome Harry to the neighborhood and have been thoughtful to bring him toys as he loves to play ball and likes squeaky toys to carry around. Thank you so much to MWCR for allowing us to adopt Harry, we'll keep you posted on his progress.
