was adopted by a wonderful couple

in Wisconsin who just love her.

Lucy is a 6 year old, light Sable & White, spayed female Collie who is an owner surrender from Wisconsin. Lucy could be described as a blue-eyed blonde as her coat is a very light strawberry blonde in color and her right eye has a small patch of blue in the lower left corner to add further distinction.

I had a phone call from Sue tonight. She was just asking about flea/tick protection. we chatted about Lucy and they are so very, very happy with her. she remains fascinated with their birds. I told Sue that Lucy was a music lover and Sue says they do leave the radio on for her when they are out. Phil says she has mastered 'fetch' in it's entirety. Sue says Lucy is making friends with the dog across the street and she plans to bring her to the dog park maybe next weekend.

Sue has not only trained Lucy to shake a paw, but she doesn't even need the command anymore. She just offers the paw. And she has settled down and is 'doing her business' in her own yard now, so Sue is happy with that. Sue had taken Lucy for her nightly walk when I originally called her back, but she got back to me right away. She also made me a little jealous by telling me that Lucy has now rolled over completely on her back so Sue can scratch her tummy (Lucy was reluctant to be that trusting here, she'd be on her side so I could scratch but that was as far as she'd go). AND, Sue says Lucy still has that wonderful smile on her face all the time! Lucy will always be my 'ray of sunshine'.
