Moose is a healthy beautiful two year old sable &
white boy that was an owner surrender.
Moose was in a family
with small children and no other animals. He was
used to being crated but has done quite well left
out to roam the house during the day and sleeps by
your bed at night. We have confined him during the
work day for about 5-6 hours and he has done just
fine. Moose has not been destructive to anything in
the house, not even when he is left alone.
Moose tends to favor women. I think he views men as
a threat until he gets acquainted with them. He is
very vocal when he hears loud noises or when someone
comes to your door. He would make an excellent
watch dog. Moose is neutered, up-to-date on his
shots, and newly groomed. He loves to play tug and
fetch with his toys and likes his chew toys. Moose
is completely housebroken, walks nice on a leash,
rides very well in the car and knows his basic
commands. He doesn't have a problem climbing stairs
or climbing into a vehicle. Moose hasn't shown any
interest in jumping fences or running away since he
would just rather share your company.
Moose's name doesn't do him justice, since it does
not describe his majestic looks and warm
personality. Moose is a very tall boy - 26
inches at the shoulder which is on the tall end for
a normal Collie boy. He is a gentle
giant.
Moose would do best in a quieter home without a lot
of coming and goings. Moose is very laid back and
eager to please. He just wants to be loved and
included in a family, he follows me everywhere and
just wants to be close by and included in everything
I do. He is such a good boy and would make a
wonderful companion! Moose shows some
sensitivity to grooming around the ears - for this
reason we feel that he should not be placed in a
home with children under 8-10 years old.
Moose is being fostered in the
Twin Cities, MN
