Meet Bailey. One of the newest members of Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue. He came into rescue May 10th from a humane society in southern Wisconsin. He was a stray but his previous owners did live in the area and had decided they would not claim him from the impound.

Bailey is now neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Bailey is a very sweet boy. He is a little shy at first, but after being in his foster home a few days, he now initiates play with 4 other collies there and can pretty much out run them all.

He loves to sit by his foster mom on the couch and often rolls over on his back so she can give his belly a rub. He falls asleep like that sometimes. He will be 2 years old at the end of July 2003. He loves to go for walks. He is not real fond of the car rides though. A little car sickness with longer rides.

When he came to his foster home he didn't answer to any name. He is starting to know when you are talking to him and he loves to sit for a treat usually beating out the rest because he sits really fast when you have a treat.

It would be really nice for him to have an active home where he could have lots of walks and be outside. Bailey would do well in a home that has a companion dog for him to play with as this helps him overcome his shyness.  He would also do well with a fenced yard as he just loves to run fast.  Especially when the others are chasing him.

He has been a joy to have as a foster and will make a wonderful addition to a loving home.

Bailey is being fostered in Deforest, WI.
