Dale is a handsome 4 year old tri-colored boy with impeccable manners and refined stature. His pictures don't do justice to his beautifully expressive eyes.

To get your attention and show his affection, he will gracefully extend his paw and rest it on you. Due to no fault of his own, Dale has lived in 3 different homes in his short life, returning to the local shelter between each move. He would wish for nothing more than a loving, secure family where he can at last believe that he will be loved forever. Dale would like a home with a buddy that doesn't mind sharing their owner's affection with Dale.

Dale is well-behaved, gets along extremely well with cats, and is accustomed to being around children. He enjoys the company of, and romping with other dogs - he doesn't desire to be "top dog", but might rather be second in line rather than bottom of the pack if there is more than one resident dog in the household! He is used to going for walks, and may, while walking, want to pull on his leash if he sees others that he wants to visit, as he is a social-type guy.

All Dale wants is to be loved - and to be close to somebody.  He would need a fenced yard, though, as he would wander to see and be with others... He is gentle, sweet, and will make somebody an absolutely wonderful friend for life.

It's very important to Dale that he is allowed to be part of his new family - to be able to be close to them as they go about their daily lives. He would like his new family to understand that he gets worried when there are thunderstorms, and that he paces in response to his nervousness. Dale rides quietly in the car.

Dale is like a candle that has never been allowed to shine - the family that brings Dale into their home as a new member of their family will be given total love and devotion by this wonderful, gentle loving guy.
