This is Lady, a new member of MWCR. Lady is a beautiful
7 year old spayed female Collie girl. She came
in from a shelter in northern WI. She was
an owner surrender to that shelter where she had
lived as an outdoor dog.
Lady is the sweetest most
beautiful Collie girl. When she came to her
foster home her coat was very badly matted and
dirty. She has some redness in one of her eyes
and is being treated with some medication to
clear it up. Lady is being treated for hookworm
which should be gone by the time she is ready
for adoption. She is very smart. She
responds very well to her name and is very much
a "lady". She likes being combed and cared for
and even lets her foster mom put eye drops in
twice a day with no trouble at all. She does
very well in the car. She gets along well with
all the other dogs at her foster home. She is
not wonderful with the cats that live there
though and would need some work in that area or
need to go to a home without cats. Fine on
leash. Stays very close without. She is very
loving and kissey. She already wants and takes
a lot of the attention. She really wants her
own person too or maybe there are just so many
dogs here they all act like they have to
struggle to get me. She loves being petted and
sitting close to you and will just kiss and kiss
you goodnight. Not a very big eater so far.
Doesn't pay a lot of attention to the kids at
the dog park. I haven't had any in my house. I
can't imagine she would have much reaction
though. She is so well behaved. She is better
than any of my own dogs. Very obedient. Comes
right away when called no matter what she is
doing.
She is a wonderful, sweet,
collie girl and will make some lucky home a
wonderful addition. Lady is up to date on all
shots and is Heartworm neg.
She is being
fostered near Madison, WI.
