Sandy- Adopted 8/03

8 year old spayed female.

The best word to describe Sandy is "precious".  She is a beautiful 8yo mahogany sable girl with big expressive eyes and the sweetest disposition.  She loves everyone and is calm and well mannered, and will even give you kisses if you get your face near hers. She is wonderful with children and seems to enjoy being hugged and petted by them, passing out her trademark collie kisses to any little face that comes close enough.  She is very gentle and quiet, and would be good with even small children.

She really loves cats, and follows the cat at her foster home everywhere, whining and wagging her tail.  She is also good with other dogs and loves playing tag with her foster brother.

She is a little overweight right now and this, along with inactivity (she was kept chained up at her previous home) has resulted in some arthritis in her hips.  But this does not keep her from enjoying walks and playing.  With diet and regular exercise she should do much better.  Because of the stiffness in her hips, she would probably do best in a home where she would not have to climb a lot of stairs.

Sandy has excellent house manners, and has been allowed free run of her foster home with no accidents.

Sandy would fit well into nearly any home.  Why not give her a chance to light up your life?

Sandy is being fostered in Reedsville, WI.
