Bio for Angie:

Angie is short for Angel, and that perfectly describes this gentle, sweet-natured, collie girl. Angie is a three to four year old, sable female. She was found by animal control after having spent much of the summer roaming the southern Wisconsin countryside. She was covered with burrs, had several broken teeth and had scratches all over her nose. Angie was one sad, little collie. But though she didn't know it, Angie had her own guardian angel.

Angie was referred to MWCR and from there her first stop was the vet. He checked her over and determined that she had probably broken her teeth by chewing on metal (perhaps the bars of a cage or kennel). From there she was taken to the groomer where she was bathed and where she patiently endured the removal of all of those burrs. When it was all over, she looked and felt like a new collie.

Angie is very petite, weighing only about 50 pounds.  She is very affectionate and gets along well with everyone - adults, other dogs and children of all ages. Her foster home doesn't have cats, so they are an unknown quantity. She walks well on a leash, knows several commands and is a very quiet girl. She has not been crated at her foster home, and has been extremely well behaved, having the full run of the house.

Now that her big ordeal is over, Angie is looking for a forever home that would, ideally, include a fenced yard. Most importantly, however, Angie needs a loving family who will appreciate her gentle, playful nature and who will provide her with the security

Angie is being fostered in the Madison, Wisconsin area
