A perfect 10!!

That's how Casey's foster dad describes this handsome, affectionate, sable, collie male. Casey is estimated to be around two years old, and weighs in at 70 pounds - just right for a male of his size. He has an easy to care for coat that doesn't mat if he is brushed once a week. He is fully house broken, knows all the basic commands and is very obedient. He barks very little (for a collie) and is completely non destructive in the house.

As if this isn't enough, Casey has a delightful personality. He is never shy, always friendly and out-going, with a smile on his face. Although he is extremely affectionate and loves to get hugs and kisses, Casey is never needy or clingy. He is also quite the canine athlete. He will retrieve a stick or ball for hours on end, and can leap four or five feet into the air to catch one - the collie version of Michael Jordan! Given his talents, he would probably to do well in agility training.

Casey came to MWCR after he was found wandering loose as a stray. No one here can figure out why this well mannered, lovable guy was never claimed by his owners, but their loss could be your gain. Casey is looking for a forever home with a fenced yard and possibly another dog to play with. He is good with both children and adults, but his vigorous style of play might be too much for children under age six. His foster home doesn't have cats, so they are an unknown quantity with Casey. 

Casey is the perfect "turn key" collie. All the work of training and socializing him has already been done. All you have to do is care for him and love him. And with Casey, that is very easy to do!
