King Should not be with other dogs

 9  year old sable male

Bio for King

King is a stately, neutered, sable boy, nine years old going on three!  He loves to play ball and Frisbee in the yard, and you will tire out before he will.  He also enjoys going for walks and doesn't pull or tug on the leash.  He knows basic commands including "sit" and "down" and is working on "stay" and "wait."  Although he doesn't particularly enjoy car rides, he is calm and well behaved in the car.

Inside the house, King is the perfect gentleman.  He is housebroken and completely house friendly.  Often he will retire to his crate for a nap or to spend a little quality time with his chew toy.  King would probably be best as an only dog, since he likes to think of himself as "king" of all that he surveys.  This includes any bones, treats, chewies or squeaky toys that any other dog might have.  For this reason, King's foster mom feeds him separately from the other dogs.

Like many dogs, King is frightened of thunderstorms.  He paces and pants, but his foster mom says that giving him a little Melatonin helps.

King is a great companion and loves spending time with his family.  He is extremely smart, with a good nose for tracking.  With the proper training, he would do well as a working dog or on the agility course.  Most importantly, King is looking for a forever home where he can, indeed, be the King of your heart.

King is being fostered in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
