Update for Buddy!
Buddy has completed his heartworm treatment and is healthy and waiting for that forever home! Donations to help defray the cost of this expensive treatment are still gratefully received with collie hugs and kisses!
Buddy’s foster mom says that he is very mellow and loves to sit in his plastic pool with squeaky toys on warm days.
Bio for Buddy
Buddy by name, Buddy by nature! This 13 month old, tri-colored, collie boy is a devoted companion to everyone. Buddie came to MWCR from the Fergus Falls Humane Society on March 25th, and although he was happy to leave the shelter, the employees and volunteers there were very sad to see this lovable guy leave.
Buddy is fully house trained and hasn't had a single accident at his foster home. Although he is reluctant to get in cars, once he is in, he settles down quickly and falls asleep. He is not an excessive barker, but he will announce the approach of a strange vehicle with a few, quick barks. He is easy to groom, and loves to be brushed and have his tummy rubbed.
Buddy gets along well with children and also loves to play with his collie, foster sibling. The two chase one another around almost non-stop, but never leave the yard. Buddy should not be around cats. Buddy is not food aggressive and though he eats well, he does have his own unique style. He likes to empty the kibble out of his dish and then use his nose to push it into a pile before eating it. You know what they say: presentation is everything.
Buddy's recent visit to the vet showed that he was heart worm positive, so he has now gone through a series of treatments. He is otherwise a healthy guy, but for several weeks, he will have to limit his activity while recovering. Once he is fully recovered, he will be ready for his new home and his new forever family. If you're ready for a lifetime friend, Buddy is your guy!
Buddy is being fostered in Bowlus, Minnesota (north of St. Cloud).
So far $900 has been spent on Buddy’s medical treatments.
