New to Rescue!

Chloe came to MWCR from a shelter where she and Maggie (probably her mom) had been taken as strays.  Like Maggie, Chloe was dirty, matted and thin, but she was otherwise healthy.  Unlike Maggie, she was very much an exuberant, high-energy puppy.

When Chloe arrived at her foster home, she didn't have much in the way of house manners, but she did have a quick intelligence and a strong desire to please.  After just a few weeks and lots of positive reinforcement Chloe has learned to sit, to walk on a gentle leader and is working on her recall.  She is fully house broken and crate trained, though she does like to chew and needs to be crated when she is unattended.

Chloe is a very sociable girl and is good with adults, children and other dogs.  She still has lots of puppy energy, however, and is probably too "rough and tumble" for very young children and older dogs.  She is learning to respect cats.

Chloe is looking for a forever family that will continue her training and help her to develop into the happy, well-mannered companion that she wants to be.  She is well on her way, and her foster mom describes her as "a pleasure to be around."  She would do best in a home separate from Maggie, since she tends to rely too much on her mom.  Chloe is ready to be her own dog!

Chloe is being fostered in Milton, WI which is near Madison.
