Dart is a 6-year-old Sable Rough Collie who has been in the company of his mother, Lollie, for his whole life. Dart likes to be a busy boy. He is good with kids, with other dogs, and with cats, and although he sometimes will chase a teasing cat, he chases as a game and likes the cats.

Dart is not into fetching things, but he likes to pick up sticks while he is out walking and carry them around. He is curious, boisterous as befits his age, alert, and energetic. He would do well in a home with another dog but does not need to be placed with his mother.

Dart is quite well-behaved in the house, although he is still working on some commands. He is not a barker, does not counter surf or get into the garbage. He loves people and wants to be in their company. He has visited the local nursing home near his and Lollie's foster home and is a good nursing home visitor. He has been a bit cautious about some things in his new setting, but he is not fearful. He is an active boy who loves to go for walks, even jogs. He is food-motivated and ready to be taught ways to earn his treats as rewards. Dart will enjoy an active household where he can expend his energy and learn new things.
