BIO FOR PICASSO
Where else can you find a best friend and a work of art all rolled into one!! Picasso is a stunning (and colorful), three year old, blue merle, collie boy. His unusual, multi-colored coat and his bi-colored eyes (one blue and one brown) make him a real standout. He is a tall boy (25 inches at the shoulder) and weighs only 61 pounds, so he needs to put on a little weight. This is difficult for Picasso because, true to his artistic temperament, he is a very picky eater. His foster mom has been able to entice him into eating by putting a dollop of cottage cheese on a good quality dog food.
Picasso is a sweet, low key guy who is gentle and friendly with both children and other dogs. His foster home doesn't include any cats, but on a visit to his vet Picasso did meet a cat and seemed curious but not at all threatening. He likes to retrieve a rolled up sock and really loves going for walks. He is ready to play when encouraged, but is not hyperactive. He does, however, LOVE to chase squirrels and should probably have a fenced yard or be leashed when outdoors.
Picasso is a mild mannered guy, but he will warn you by barking if hears any strange or threatening noises. He will also bark briefly when left alone, but then settles down quickly. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but can be easily intimidated by an assertive, alpha type.
Picasso is a very undemanding guy who is looking for a forever home to provide him with the love and attention that he deserves. He would be happy in a family with or without children and perhaps with a doggie companion (as long as that dog is as mellow and non aggressive as he is). In exchange for a nice walk, a warm bed and some loving attention, this sweet boy will decorate your life!
He is being fostered in the Milwaukee, WI area
