Blue is a very sweet and petite 3 year old female Blue Merle collie. She came to MWCR from a loving home, but her family had to move to an apartment which didn't allow large dogs.

Blue's foster home is a busy place with 2 collies, 2 cats, 2 parents and 4 children. She loves the activity, and gets along well with everyone including the cats! As you can see from the photos, Blue especially enjoys the company of her foster brother, Lad. Their chase games are fun to watch: Lad is faster, but Blue corners better! Like almost all the collies we've met, Blue loves playing in snow.

Blue is well behaved, and for the most part is fairly quiet. She will bark at joggers and people out walking their dogs, but it's mostly because she is excited to see them. Blue is house trained, and knows most common commands. Blue loves being petted and scratched, and even enjoys having her coat brushed.

Probably the most striking character trait of Blue's is that she is a snuggler. She seems happiest when she is curled up next to one of the family members, and preferably Mom or Dad. (Boy does she know who butters her biscuits!) And with her soft thick coat, she is a joy to snuggle up against.

Blue is a delightful girl who will make her new family very happy that they were fortunate enough to adopt a collie as sweet as Blue!

Blue is being fostered in Wauwatosa (a Milwaukee suburb).
