Honey

1½-year-old tri-headed white female

New to Rescue!

Miss Honey is a gorgeous, white collie with a tri-color head and two large, black spots: one on her right side and one at the top of her tail. She is an 18 month old, owner surrender who came to MWCR with her 6 month old collie buddy, Mason (now known as Alyx). Honey was extremely thin, weighing only 38 pounds, and although she is now happily gaining weight in her foster home, she will probably always be a petite girl.

Miss Honey can be timid around new people, but she is rapidly gaining in self confidence, and enjoys making new friends when she goes for walks with her foster dad. She is also getting to know the three cats in her foster home, and although Honey would love to play with the cats, the cats are not being terribly cooperative. Miss Honey has made friends with a tiny, visiting Italian Greyhound and the two had a wonderful time running and playing together. When Honey plays, she exhibits her puppy energy by prancing, bouncing and tossing her head in such a way as to show off her glorious coloring. She also likes to talk, but sometimes just mouths the words and lets you decide what she is trying to say.

Honey loves her regular, twice a day walks and has fun playing the collie chase game with her foster dad. She also helps out her family by herding the cats whenever they get out of the house (not an easy feat, but one that Honey does very well). Miss Honey is now spayed and enjoying the good life. She is also starting obedience classes and enjoying the interaction with the other dogs and the extra time with her new dad.

Honey is being fostered in Superior WI.
