Roxy

10-year-old female

Adopted!

Poor Roxy must have felt as though all her luck was bad luck. When her owner lost her job and could no longer care for her, Roxy was surrendered to a local humane society. The shelter was crowded and scary, and for a nearly ten year old dog, the chances of being adopted were pretty slim.

But then the shelter very kindly allowed MWCR to take Roxy to one of their foster homes. Roxy was still scared and confused, but she knew her luck had changed. Her foster mom was gentle and loving to her, and her foster home had other dogs to play with and strange, exotic creatures called "cats." Shortly after coming to her foster home, her foster mom took Roxy to the vet for a check-up, and while she was there, the vet staff told her of a family that was looking for a dog just like Roxy.

The family came and met Roxy and just loved her (what’s not to love). They could see how sweet she was and how she got along well with other dogs and with children. Within about two weeks of coming to MWCR, Roxy had her new, forever home. She was adopted so quickly that her picture never even made it to the website.

Roxy turned out to be one lucky dog after all!
