#2453 – Ringo, FKA Bingo and Dingo

4-5-year-old blue merle male

New to Rescue!

What do people say when they have hit the jackpot? BINGO! And that’s what you will say when you meet this lovable, collie boy. Bingo is a stunning, five year old, blue merle who is on the small side at 55 pounds. However, what he lacks in size, he makes up for in charm. Bingo came to MWCR when his elderly owners felt they could no longer care for him. He is an extremely gentle and loving guy who relishes all forms of affection. He loves brushing and grooming and even enjoys his bath since it means someone is paying attention to him. He is gentle with children of all ages, gets along well with other dogs and has a “live and let live” attitude toward cats. Although it takes him awhile to warm up to strangers, he never shows any aggression and is friendly to those he meets at the dog park.

Bingo was born blind in one eye, but this has absolutely no effect on his behavior or enjoyment of life. He is well mannered in the house and has no destructive tendencies. He is fine tuning his housetraining skills, so he needs to be taken out on a regular basis. He walks well on a leash and when off-leash he has good recall. He is not crate trained, but really doesn’t need to be crated.

Bingo is a sweetheart who would do well in almost any family. He is excellent with children and other dogs, and as long as the kitties don’t run from him, Bingo ignores them. He doesn’t need a fenced yard if he is supervised when outdoors. He will occasionally bark when excited or when he wants attention, but quickly quiets down.

Bingo is a real lover whose forever family will be big winners when they welcome this boy into their home.

Bingo is being fostered in Waukesha, WI.
