Dallas in his forever home!
|
New to Rescue!
Drop dead gorgeous and sweet as pie! That’s our Dallas. He has a glorious full ruff, perfectly tipped ears and truly stunning coloring. But even with all that, the best thing about this collie is his gentle nature and loving disposition. At 78 pounds, he is just a big teddy bear. He is calm, well behaved, fully house trained and a total delight to be around.
Dallas is friendly with everyone he meets, but his manner is always calm and restrained. He doesn’t jump up on people, just greets them with gentle dignity and charm. He is good with other dogs and with cats, but since his foster home does not include children, it is not known how he would be with kids. Given his easy going manner, however, it is hard to believe that there is anyone Dallas wouldn’t like.
Dallas likes to be groomed, has good recall and knows how to “sit” and “shake.” He is not a high energy dog and doesn’t have any interest in fetch or in playing with toys. His greatest joy is to simply be with his people. He follows his foster mom around like a shadow and can’t get enough love and attention. He is well behaved in the house, so does not need to be crated. Dallas’ only “issue” is his terrible fear of fireworks. During the July 4th holiday, he was so frightened that he refused to go outside to potty. Even so, he was far too dignified to have an accident in the house.
Dallas would make a wonderful addition and loving companion for almost any family. He will be your loyal, devoted, best friend and in return, asks only for your kindness and love.
Dallas is being fostered in Iowa.
