Post-Adoption Update April 29, 2007
He has been a real joy. He is so eager to please us. We never cease to be amazed at his intelligence. He loves car rides. He loves children. He is great on a leash. He stays in our yard without restraints, such as leash or fence. Of course, he is never alone outside, and never will be. I sure love having his company during the tedious chore of weeding the flower beds.
He lays in the grass and oversees his domain with such dignity.
Post-Adoption Update March 30, 2007
Hi Mary and Laure,
I am very happy to let you know that you picked out the best people for me to live with.
They go outside with me so I can do potty duties, and they don't even put a leash on me. I appreciate this so much! I really don't want to do potty things when they are too close, you know. I don't want to run away anyway, because I am really happy here. They always watch me, but I don't go very far.
I get to go in the car and the Jeep for rides. Sometimes I go to grandma's house to visit. I like it there, and I sleep on Grandma's feet.
I go to the grocery store, and the bank. Rides are fun. Last Thursday, I couldn't go along, though, because they gave a dog named Lily a ride. When they got home, I could smell her on their jeans. She smelled like a really sweet lady. I think someone will love her too.
Today I played in the snow! The best part was that I got to go in the house when my paws were cold.
I love the little kids that come to visit me, and I give them Collie kisses. They like to play with me.
I watch TV at night, and I let them brush me, and clip my toenails. Sometimes dogs bark on the TV, so I have to bark, too. I went to the vet last week. She gave me shots, but I kissed her anyway.
I will keep in touch.
Nic (they call me Bailey, and I like having a new name to go with my new life)
Nic is being fostered in Beaver Dam, WI.
