Tessa is a lovely little girl whose personality matches her sweet face. She's a 3-year-old sable mahogany girl with the softest of coats, coming from a fine line of collies with a pedigree from her breeder to prove it! Tessa is a bit on the small side, almost sheltie-like in her size and movement. Because of this she feels she is the perfect size for cuddling up next to you on the couch or even in the middle of the bed! She will get down when asked, but who can say “no” to those beautiful brown eyes?

Tessa is very friendly and gets along with all people (including children) and dogs, but for the most part just likes to hang out with her people. Tessa is very good on a leash and loves her walks. She also enjoys a good frolic at the dog park so that she can wander free, but sometimes a little too free as Tessa is deaf and doesn’t know she needs to come back until she turns around and sees her people waving her back. Tessa is a very intuitive girl and will understand just about any message you’re trying to communicate to her. She knows the hand signal for sit, is getting better at laying down, and her recall is quite good as just about any “come” motion will bring her back to you.

Housetrained and well-behaved, this mellow girl can be trusted alone in the house as long as there are no remote controls within her reach. (Those long black bones are tasty!) Tessa likes car rides, but sometimes gets a little car-sick with all the bumps and turns. She usually makes it to the dog park and back without a problem.

Tessa will make a wonderful addition to any family, bringing lots of cuddly love for years to come!
