Description:
Okay, I know you came to this website looking for someone who looks like Lassie. And I know that I don’t exactly fit the bill on that score. I thought about getting a big, fluffy ‘Lassie suit’ but I decided “I gotta be me!” So, here I am.
I’m Bo. I came to MWCR from a shelter where my owner took me after her husband died. When I got to the shelter they found out that I had a mild case of Lyme Disease, but they gave me some medicine and I’m fine now. I didn’t like the shelter at all, and I was pretty sad about losing my dad and then my home, but one day this nice lady from Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue came and took me to a foster home. It’s pretty nice here, but I still can’t wait to have a home of my own again.
I’m housetrained (that means I let you know when I have to go outside for a “call of nature”), I don’t chew on things or do damage in the house, and I love to be brushed and go for rides in the car. I like everybody. I like other dogs; I like adult humans; I especially like kids; and I even like cats – particularly the ones that aren’t all stuck up and hissy. My favorite thing in the world is to play with my tennis ball and fetch it when someone throws it for me. I’m really hoping my new home will have some fun kids who will throw the ball and play with me. It would also be nice if my home had a fenced yard for me to play in. I don’t much like to walk on a leash (how can you fetch a tennis ball on a leash??), and when I am outside, I sometimes get so interested in the sights and sounds and smells that I don’t always come when my foster mom calls me. A yard with a fence would be just the ticket!
I have a lot of energy, but when I am inside I settle down and enjoy just hanging with the family. I love being with my people and being petted and fussed over. My foster mom says I’m “adorable.” It would be kind of conceited if I said that, but I guess it’s okay if she says it.
Well, that pretty much describes me. The shelter said that I was a collie mix, and since I don’t look much like a collie, the part that is collie must be the inside part. That means that I must be smart and loyal and loving, just like Lassie. I think it must be more important to be like Lassie that to look like her. Don’t you?
