Description:
Hi guys! My name is Matlock and I am the first MWCR collie to be named “Pawsonality of the Month” TWICE! I feel honored. And loved.
But I didn’t always feel loved. Before I came to MWCR I was a very lonely boy. I was tied outside in all weather, every day, for my whole life. I knew my family was inside, warm and happy, and I wanted so much to be with them. I still don’t know what I did wrong. I was miserable.
Today, all that misery is just a distant memory. At my foster home, I live indoors and get to hang out with the family all the time. I only go outside to go potty (I am completely housebroken) and to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Most of the time, I like to spend my days snuggled up to a willing human. I love to find a cozy place to nap near my foster family and dream of the day when I will have a forever family of my very own.
My foster mom says I am an easy going boy who never misbehaves. I like everyone and get along with everybody that I meet. After all those long, sad years alone, I am anxious to show folks how much I appreciate the love they give me. I like to watch my canine foster brothers run and play, and sometimes I cheer them on with a few woofs. I also like to go for leisurely walks around the neighborhood so I can meet new friends and smell the roses. I am not as young as I used to be (who is?) but I still have lots of love to give.
Well, that’s me – Matlock. I feel very lucky to be the Pawsonality of the Month and even luckier to be in a warm, loving foster home. The luckiest thing of all would be to have someone adopt me and promise to love me forever and ever. Is that you?
