Description:
When Missy’s family moved, they decided that they no longer had time or room for Missy. She was surrendered to MWCR and at two and a half years old was faced with a very different life from the one she had known. Missy had lived primarily as an outdoor dog and was not housetrained. She knew no commands, would not jump into the car for a ride, and didn’t know how to walk on a leash. On the surface, she didn’t seem to be too adoptable.
But after only two weeks at her foster home, a neighbor couple fell in love with Missy and realized that her loving soul and cuddly nature far outweighed a few superficial training issues. They adopted Missy and took her into their hearts and home.
Missy is a lovely tri-color girl, 23 inches tall and solidly built at 73 pounds. Though she has had no formal training, she is alert and willing. She understands the word “no” when she is doing something inappropriate and responds accordingly. She is a happy, friendly collie who gets along with everyone: people, dogs, cats, horses, cows, etc. Her previous family said that she is also great with children. She absolutely loves to be petted and cuddled.
Sometimes what is in your heart is far more important than what is on your resume. Just ask Missy!
