| Description:
Ranger is an exceptionally handsome, tall, collie boy, with lots of dark highlights in his sable and white coat. He is a strong, athletic guy, who weighs in at 70 pounds of pure muscle. Prior to coming to MWCR, Ranger’s conditioning program consisted of running loose with a neighboring German Shepherd, but when the pair were picked up and taken to a local Humane Society, Ranger’s family declined to claim him. It is hard to imagine how anyone could let this wonderful boy go, but apparently they just didn’t have time for him.
Beneath Ranger’s imposing physique, beats the heart of a real pussycat. At three to four years old, he is calm, gentle and extremely affectionate. He absolutely loves human companionship and will lie across your lap or stretch out his paw for you to hold. He is equally good natured with other dogs, but doesn’t care for cats. Since coming to his foster home, Ranger has been the perfect houseguest. He is fully housetrained and house safe. He doesn’t beg at the table or counter surf, and unlike many collies, he rarely barks. Ranger is looking for a forever home where he won’t be allowed to run loose and get into trouble with the local authorities. He would be great with other dogs and with children, but would prefer a feline-free household. This sweet natured, well-mannered boy will fit in beautifully in almost any home and is ready to provide his new family with a lifetime of love. |
