| Description:
If you’re looking for a wild, frenetic, bouncing-off-the-walls kind of collie, then you will want to give Mackie a pass. This loving guy combines a happy, playful nature with a laid back, low key attitude. He loves to go for walks or for rides in the car and will joyfully play with the other dogs at his foster home. But Mackie also enjoys just hanging out with his family and soaking up the love. He gets along with everyone – human, canine or feline – and he will even show the resident kitty some love by licking her on the top of the head.
Mackie is well behaved and fully housetrained. He walks well on his leash and is working on his crate training when his foster mom is at work. He is such a sweet, eager to please boy that his foster mom was surprised to find him lounging on the sofa the other day. His location was telegraphed to her by the two resident dogs who were barking at Mackie and “tattling” on him. Poor Mackie immediately removed himself when he discovered that the couch was out of bounds. Mackie is the perfect doggie companion for the family that is looking for a collie who will be playful and fun loving with other dogs and children, but who will also settle down and relax with the family when playtime is over. He loves kids, cats, dogs and adults. He also loves sofas (but only if invited). |
