Description:
Hi, I’m Sammy, aka Sam the Man, aka Sammy Boy. I’m one half of this month’s Pawsonality. The other half is Kovu. She’ll tell you a little bit about herself later, but let me tell you, she is one Collie Hottie! I never heard the name Kovu before, but I think it must be some foreign language name that means Gorgeous Collie Babe!
In addition to all my other nicknames, my foster mom also likes to call me “Bear Burglar.” That’s because during the night I sometimes sneak upstairs and borrow one of her stuffed teddy bears. I hardly ever hurt the bear; I just chew on it a little until it gets all nice and squishy. Foster mom tries to get mad at me about this, but she can’t because I’m just so darn cute. Besides, what’s a grown woman doing with teddy bears anyway? They’re meant for kids (like me).
I’m a happy guy who likes just about everyone and everything. I like to look at the cockatiel here at my foster home, and I like to play with the kitties. One of my favorite things is drinking out of the bird bath. It’s at just the right height for a big collie boy like me. I also like to chew on ice cubes for treats and to play with my many, many toys. About the only things I don’t like are bicycles. My foster mom and the neighbor boy are trying to convince me that bicycles aren’t my enemy, but I’m skeptical.
Now to the most important thing about me: I’m in love. Before I came to my foster home, I was something of a collie-about-town. I used to roam the countryside breaking the hearts of all the good looking doggie babes. Then I came here and met Kovu. Well, needless to say, I am now a one girl collie. Even though Kovu was a couple years older than me, she was really kind of shy and naïve. I don’t think she had ever been around other dogs, and I taught her how to run and play. I even taught her about toys, and sometimes when I steal (I mean borrow) one of foster mom’s bears, I give it to Kovu.
I’m looking forward to finding my forever home, but it will have to include my lady, because when you love someone, you stand by them.
