| Description:
Axl is a handsome, bright-eyed, happy collie boy who can’t wait to find his forever home. He loves everyone and every thing he meets, from adults to children to cats to other dogs. At his foster home he gets along beautifully with the other dogs and has even convinced the resident cat to play with him. Who could resist that cheerful, smiling face?
Axl is a gentle, loving boy who likes to rest his head in his foster dad’s lap while he is on the computer and give him loving looks. He is a bit of a talker and will let you know when he needs something or when he just wants to say “Hi!” Axl walks quite well on his leash, and though he pulls a little at first, he soon mellows out and walks calmly, always on the lookout for some new person or dog to meet and greet. He doesn’t enjoy grooming, particularly baths, so his foster family takes him to a professional groomer. They are working on making him more tolerant of brushing by doing a little every day. Axl will make a wonderful companion for almost anyone. He has lived happily with older children, other dogs and cats, and is a great mix of playful energy and cuddly relaxation. He would love to have his own fenced yard where he could run and play, and would enjoy having a companion dog or older children to frolic with. Axl is at that perfect age where he is past the crazy, bouncing-off-the-walls puppy stage but is still ready for fun or for snuggling. Don’t let this sweet, gentle collie get away! |
