Description: Hey, I’m the new Pawsonality of the Month! I have lots of names: Gabriella, Lady, even Lady GaGa, but the truth is, I don’t care what you call me as long as you call me YOURS!

I have kind of a sad history, but I don’t like to think about that time. I lived alone on the street with no food and no one to love me. It was hard having to compete with other dogs to just get enough to eat, but the hardest thing was not having my very own family to be with. When I came to MWCR I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Then I discovered that there were other dogs living here too and it reminded me of when I was living on the street and fighting for every bite. I still don’t like to see the other dogs get treats and food and attention from foster mom, but I’m getting better.

Here at my foster home they have a doggie toy box with more toys than I have ever seen before. I like to take them out one at a time and test them to see which ones score highest on the “fun scale.” So far nothing is as much fun as the tennis ball. Foster mom throws it for me and I chase after it and always bring it back. Then she throws it again and the fun starts all over. I could do this all day, but foster mom’s arm gets tired, so then we go into the house and snuggle on the couch. I love doing just about everything with foster mom: going for walks, riding in the car, watching TV, getting my fur brushed, you name it!

Foster mom says I would be the perfect collie if only I would like the other dogs better. She even hired someone called a “Dog Behaviorist” to teach me how to live with the other dogs. Personally, I don’t get it. If I’m the perfect dog, why do we need any other dogs (or cats for that matter)? The dog behaviorist said that with patience and training I could learn to live happily with other dogs, and I do get along pretty well with my foster brother and sister now that I have learned that they aren’t going to steal my food and treats. But I would still rather be your one and only!

So, that’s me – Lady – so perfect that having another dog would be redundant. If you agree, come and get me.

P.S. I’ll bring the tennis ball!
