Kacey

~14-month-old female collie mix

New Referral!

Kacey here. I was picked up as a stray and am living with a nice foster family until I can find my 'fur'ever home. I am still a puppy, being about 12-14 months of age. I am completely housebroken and crate trained. I am starting to learn some commands, but since my foster parents both work full-time, I don't get a lot of practice time and spend my days in my crate. At night I get to sleep with foster mom and dad in their bed, and according to them I make the 'very best snuggler'! Being a puppy, I occasionally experiment by chewing on a few inappropriate things, but I stop as soon as I am shown the error of my ways.

I LOVE my doggy toys! I don't remember every having toys in my previous life, so this is like heaven to me. I also love to go for car rides, take walks, and I like to look out the windows and watch the world go by my house. I am a dainty little gal, weighing it at about 33 pounds, and I am probably about as big as I will ever get. I would LOVE to have a very active family and another dog to play with! That would truly be heaven!

I do like to bark at dogs that have the nerve to walk past or play in front of my house! I am not in the least bit aggressive, but I have not been cat or kid tested. In short, I am very submissive and I love both humans and animals. My fur is soft and does not shed much, and although short, my tail wags with excitement when you speak to me. I have gotten a clean bill of health from the vet, and that means that I am spayed, UTD, and microchipped. If I do say so myself, I am very, very cute!

I would love a family who will give me the daily exercise a puppy like me needs and deserves. But, although I am a puppy and high energy at times, I settle down quickly just like you turned my 'off' switch. In short, I am a loving dog, who wants to be your loving and loyal companion for life. I'm not real sure what my pedigree is...perhaps some Brittany, Springer Spaniel, and maybe even a bit of Collie thrown in for good measure. That means I'm a real hybrid with the best traits of all these wonderful breeds!

I hope to hear from you soon!
