Unknown, but probably not good with shy cats; might be OK with dog-savvy cats who still have their claws and are not afraid to use them to put RayRay in his place. |

Description:
RayRay is a calm, obedient, well mannered little guy – when he is asleep. When he is awake, however, he is a chewing, chasing, running, playing terror on paws! In other words, he is a puppy.
RayRay came to MWCR from a farm in Iowa where he was one of a number of puppies from two simultaneous litters. Because the family couldn’t find homes for all 22, some came to rescue to find their forever homes.
RayRay is a high energy little guy who knows what he wants and has no trouble telling you. He is completely fearless and will definitely need a fenced yard to help him run off some of that energy and to prevent him from going off to conquer the world. He is working on his housetraining, but does not yet know any commands. As his foster mom says, you need to have an attention span before you can learn commands, and so far RayRay has the attention span of a gnat. He does not like his crate, but was very tolerant of being bathed and does not mind being brushed. He is also getting the hang of walking on his leash.
RayRay is quite the social butterfly and loves everyone he meets. He is very eager to greet strangers and likes humans of all ages and sizes. Because he is still in that rambunctious stage, his forever home should not include very young children who could be knocked down or frightened by his rough and tumble style of play. He likes other dogs and would definitely benefit from having an active, playful, canine companion to run with and to learn from. He has not been exposed to cats, but would probably be too rough for a shy kitty, though he might get along with a dog-savvy cat that had its claws and wasn’t afraid to use them as a puppy training tool.
RayRay is looking for an active, committed family that is ready to take on the responsibility of molding a little puppy mind. His forever home will have to include a fenced yard and will need to be puppy-proofed to prevent him from chewing up anything and everything that lies in his path. Like all puppies, he is an equal mix of adorable and trouble. He is looking for a patient family that is ready to work with him so he can learn to be as calm, obedient and well mannered when he is awake as when he is asleep.
