Description: Happy, cheerful, fun-loving, and playful – Wyatt is all those things and more. He is a typical, collie pup, always ready for a game of tug with his canine siblings or his foster family but equally ready to snuggle up at the end of the day and just “hang” with his people. Wyatt brings all the fun of a puppy with none of the worry about housetraining.

Wyatt is a smart boy who is just learning about the world and is eager to explore and expand his horizons. He walks well on his leash and is getting better about coming when he is called (but with so many interesting things to see and sniff, it isn’t always easy). Ideally, he would prefer a forever home that includes a fenced yard where he can play and burn up some of that puppy energy, and though an active, canine playmate would be nice, he would also do well as an only dog, provided his family gave him sufficient attention and playtime. He does not mind grooming and rides well in the car.

Wyatt likes other dogs and is happy to greet and play with any canine he encounters. His foster family does not have cats, so we can’t say how he would react to kitties. He loves humans of all ages and is always ready to give kisses. Although he likes all children, his forever home should probably have children no younger than six, since he will sometimes nip at people’s heels while engaged in a game of chase and might frighten little ones.

Wyatt is a quiet boy who doesn’t bark much. He is fully housetrained, but like most puppies he will chew inappropriately when he is bored. For this reason his foster family crates him at night and when they leave the house. Because Wyatt doesn’t particularly like his crate he will bark or whine a bit when first crated, but then settles down nicely.

Wyatt is embarking on the journey of a lifetime and is looking for a forever family that wants to be his guide. He is hoping to find someone who will help him grow into a good canine citizen and who will teach about the joys of being in a loving family. In exchange, he will bring a carefree, fun-loving attitude and a ready willingness to give lots and lots of kisses.
