New to Rescue!

Can you believe that this sweet, gentle girl was found as a stray, dirty and severely matted, and taken to a shelter where no one claimed her?  Maggie was found with her friend (and probably her puppy) Chloe.  She had a terrible skin infection that had spread to her mouth and throat, and her walk suggested possible hip problems.  At the shelter she was shy, withdrawn and frightened.

Then Maggie came to MWCR, a loving foster home, and a wonderful new life.  She has blossomed into a confident, curious girl who is learning about living indoors and all of the exciting sights and sounds that it brings.  She is eating a high quality, raw diet with nutritional supplements, and her health is improving every day.  Although she may continue to have some problems with her skin and hips, careful daily exercise and excellent nutrition will help her to live a happy, quality life.

Maggie is house broken and crate trained.  Although she didn't know any commands at first, she is a great learner and anxious to please.  Her affectionate, gentle nature makes her good with everyone in her foster home: adults, children, other dogs and even the cat.

Although Maggie is currently living with her friend/puppy Chloe, her ideal, forever home should probably not include Chloe.  It is time for Maggie to strike out on her own and find a family that will lavish her with the love and attention she deserves.

Maggie is being fostered in Milton, WI which is near Madison.
