Update on Major, April 4, 2007

There has been a delay in Major’s adoption due to the recent diagnosis of Lyme disease that has also affected his back. Major’s Lyme disease is being treated and he will shortly begin his new life with his Forever Family.

New to Rescue!

This major is definitely a lover – not a fighter. He just soaks up love and attention, and when he is really happy, he purrs like a cat. The other dogs tell him that that is not very dignified for a collie, but Major doesn’t care, he likes cats! He also likes other dogs, and generally gets along with everyone he meets, although he is not great with very small children because he tends to get a little mouthy when they run and play.

Major loves to run, and when he is at a full gallop, he looks just like Lassie. His forever home will need to have a fenced yard, because once he starts running, Major isn’t very good about coming back when called. He is a real free spirit.

Major’s perfect forever home could include other dogs, cats, older children and lots and lots of love.

Major is being fostered in Janesville, WI.
