Description:
Hi everyone! I’m Lilly and I’m the very first Pawsonality of 2009!

My foster mom says that I’m something of a diva. I’m not sure what that means, but I think it means that I am totally awesome and vastly superior to the other dogs here. Although I like to play, it has to be on MY terms. Even when foster mom is holding a delicious treat, I only do the trick if I feel like doing it. You have to be this way with humans, because if you don’t they begin to think that they are in control. NOT!!!

Over Thanksgiving I had an interesting new experience. The whole family went to visit some relatives and there was a two month old baby there. Wow, it was so little. They put the baby on the floor and I was afraid someone might step on him, so I went over and lay next to him. I figured they might not see the baby, but they would certainly see me. I sensed that when there is a baby in the house, you have to be very quiet so you don’t wake it up. I was especially quiet while I was there. Foster mom was surprised that I was so careful and gentle with the baby, because loud, active children make me nervous. But this little guy was so cute and tiny that I just had to protect him.

Speaking of loud, irritating noises, one of the other dogs here got a squeaky duck for Christmas. I hate that duck!! Whenever the other dog is squeaking it, I bark at him to stop. One night when he is asleep, I have a feeling that annoying duck is going to become duck soup. With the exception of the duck, I am starting to have more fun playing with the other dogs. Sometimes we go and visit a bunch of other collies, and I particularly enjoy playing tug with them. I always win.

I have been on a diet since coming to my foster home because our silly vet doesn’t realize that collie girls should be “full figured.” I’m not sure how much weight I have lost, since the weather here has been so cold and snowy that I haven’t been able to go for long walks. I’m sure that when the weather gets better, I’ll be able to work on my summer “bikini body.” In the mean time, there is just that much more of me to love!

Well, that’s me, Lilly. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, blond diva (remember that means “awesome”), then I’m your girl. I’ll make 2009 the best year ever for you!
