Description: Hi guys! It’s me, Chase. If I look familiar, it’s because you have seen me before here at MWCR. I thought I had found my forever home, but it didn’t work out because I didn’t get along with some little kids there. Even though I’m a big guy, sometimes little things scare me, and when that happens I might nip someone. I don’t mean to do it, but I just can’t help myself. Kids are always jumping out at you and grabbing at you and making loud noises. So this time, I’m looking for a forever home that doesn’t have any little kids that might scare me (or be scared by me).

Other than the kid thing, I’m a likeable guy. My foster dad says I’m real smart, and he should know because he is a magician and has taught me all kinds of interesting tricks and commands. I’m hoping that he’ll teach me how to make another dog disappear, because there are too many dogs here and I want more attention for me. One of the dogs is always hogging the spot on the bed by my foster dad. If I wasn’t such a gentleman, I’d teach her a lesson or two. I would like to live in a house that has just me or maybe one other (not pushy) dog.

Foster dad says I have lots of good qualities. I behave well in the house and when I need to go outside, I always ask politely. I am friendly and get along well with other people – even the vet. I like to go for rides in the car, but I’m always glad to come home again and cuddle with my people. Foster dad says I make a good watch dog, because if someone comes to the house, I always bark to let them know.

I am also extremely well groomed. I let my foster dad brush me and keep my coat beautiful and shiny, and I hate going out in the rain, because it makes my feet all wet and muddy. I am also very good about my dental hygiene. After I eat, I always go to foster dad and remind him that it is time to brush my teeth. If there are any dentists out there looking for a collie with beautiful, white teeth, I’m your dog.

Well, that’s me in a nutshell. If you have a child-free home and are looking for a really smart collie with nice, minty-fresh breath, I’d love to meet you. I would prefer not to have to share you with more than one other dog (none would be even better), and I need to have a fenced in yard so I don’t wander off and get lost. Otherwise, my needs are few: a tube of Crest, a warm soft bed, and thou.
