Available Dogs in Foster Homes

#2888 -- Pippa
7-10-year-old Mahogany Sable and White Female
"Hi, I'm Pippa, although given my hunting prowess, I think Diana or Artemis after the Roman or Greek goddess of the hunt would be more appropriate, but whatever! The best news is, I have been named Pawsonality of the MONTH! I don't know if it is in honor of my hunting skills, my playful nature, or my wonderful personality, but whatever the reason I hope I prove to be worthy of that honor! Mostly, I am looking for somebody to love, who is home most of the time, has a fenced yard, and maybe a compatible canine companion. Oh, and since I have discovered the joys of sleeping on a love seat, maybe a comfy place to sleep would be in the cards as well?"

#2907 – Brutus
7-year-old Sable & White male
"Names can be misleading. For example, my name implies a hulking, brutish sort who might bully others to get his way. Don't believe a word of it! While I may be large, I'm a real pussycat! I love absolutely everyone -- even the mailman, and everyone loves me...including the mailman! I greet everyone with a friendly wag and a happy smile, so I'm considered to be Mr. Congeniality in my neighborhood. In short, I'm a lover, not a fighter. OK, I'm also a bit of a couch potato, but if you have a canine companion to keep me company when you are gone, I'll be so happy! And when you get home, you'll have me gazing adoringly into your eyes to let you know just how glad I am to hear how your day went."

#2868 -- Hope
3-year-old Smooth Sable and White Female
"Well, I thought I had found my furever home, but they didn't have a companion dog, so I was lonesome without a playmate. While I suffer from vision problems, I use my other senses to navigate! So I sniff, and listen, and am learning all the special commands that Foster Mom is teaching me, like 'right', 'left', 'wait', 'step', and 'find it'. They all have a special meaning for me and help me get around in strange situations. But watch my videos and see for yourself how I navigate every obstacle in Petco with ease, perform a store inventory, and greet every friend I meet! I'm looking for an active, retired couple with a big yard to play in, and who would walk me and my canine companion often."

Hakim
8-year-old Mahogany Sable Sheltie Male
"I am an oversized Sheltie (43 lbs but not overweight, mind you – just small collie size!) who is more outgoing than the average Sheltie. I absolutely love people, and if you want to play fetch or just while away the hours petting me, that will work too. I do have a bum back leg, but I don't let that slow me down. I love to go for walks, play chase with other dogs, and just have a great time. I am a big sweetheart! I am a courtesy posting for Minnesota Sheltie Rescue so my adoption would be arranged through them rather than MWCR. Click on my name above to read more about me."

Chip
1˝-year-old Sable & White Sheltie Male
"I am an oversized Sheltie (42 lbs) with an oversized heart. I love to cuddle and be close to all the action in my foster home. I am a delightful Sheltie boy who would love an active owner, a fenced yard, and a canine pal who loves to run and play as much as I do! I am a courtesy posting for Minnesota Sheltie Rescue so my adoption would be arranged through them rather than MWCR. Click on my name above to read more about me."

Kit
5-year-old Tricolor Male
"I am very sweet and would do best as an only dog or with females. I am calm and quiet, housebroken, completely vetted and microchipped. I am a courtesy posting for Maiwae Collies so my adoption would be arranged through them rather than MWCR. Click on my name above to read more about me."

#2885 -- Basie
10-year-old Smooth Tricolor Male
"WANTED: The new and improved love of my life! Job requirements include a homebody, a hand or two or three ready to caress my head at a moment's notice, a quiet home with few or no steps, preferably a fenced yard, and one or more people who will love me to the end of time. Other, calm dogs welcome, cats are OK, and older sedate children are fine too. And if you don't live too horribly far from my foster home it couldn't get any better than that! It is not every day that you have the opportunity to adopt a ready-made hand rest, so what are you waiting for? You can mend my broken heart, AND have a soft, furry place to rest your hand while you give me some lovin'!"
