Questions Answers
What is your favorite treat? Anything that my foster siblings get.  If they like it - I want it!
How do you feel about toys? When I'm feeling frisky, I like to pick up a stuffed squeaky toy and parade around the house squeaking it until the other dogs want it too!  I also like to play fetch with a stick or a ball, but it's really hard to bark when I have something in my mouth so sometimes I forget what I'm doing  and drop it on the way back to my foster mom so I can bark some more.  It's so hard to pay attention for very long when there are so many interesting things going on!

Foster Mom got me a toy called a Buster Cube that has treats inside and I have to move it around until the treats fall out.  I also get a Kong filled with treats and sometimes peanut butter and I have to work and work to get the peanut butter out. It keeps me occupied when I am crated when Foster Mom is at work.
Rate the following areas as the best for a good scratch by your foster humans: (Rating from one to four "paws") Behind ears?
Belly? – -- but I'll only let very special people do this
Under chin? –
Big fluffy rear end? – PLUS another dog’s … LOVE IT!!!
What are your 'pet' peeves? Those darned squirrels at the dog park who sit outside the fence and ignore my barking at them.  I spin and spin around in a circle and they are still there!  Sometimes they get into a tree that hangs over the dog park and I try leaping up to get them, but they just drop leaves on my head.  It's infuriating!

Foster Mom makes me sit down quietly before she pets me even when I'm all wiggly with energy.  I love getting petted so I have to calm down and sit - even when I don't want to - then I get lots of love.  Foster Mom calls it Nothing in Life Is Free.  Sometimes I don't like trying to settle down, but I love it when she calls me a good girl and gives me hugs.  Now Foster Mom doesn't even need to tell me to sit before I get petted, I just automatically do it.

Sometimes my foster sister Tasha gets annoyed with me when I bark at her and bite her too much.  She says that I bother her when she is trying to play with other dogs.  (Yeah, and she is biting the other dogs so I don't know why she gets mad at ME for doing it too!)  I can't help it because she is so much fun to tease!  I get obsessed with nipping at her and barking in her ear.  Usually she tolerates it, but sometimes she gets mad at me and unleashes a can of whoop-ass on me.  Then I behave for a couple of days.  Foster Mom says I deserved it, but I just can't help myself!

I don't like it when someone I don't know very well tries to pet me too hard or wants to rub my belly.  I make growly noises to let them know that they need to back off.

When someone is silly enough to run in the dog park I have to chase them and nip.  They should know better than to try to do that in a dog park and it must be stopped!  Foster Mom tells them they shouldn't run because the Collies will do something called herding, but sometimes the people don't listen very well.   I just nip their backside and then they listen to Foster Mom.
Do you kiss on the first date? I only give kisses to special people that I know, but then I lavish them with a good tongue cleaning - ears, chin, fingers and toes - as long as they'll let me.
Would you rather - go for a walk with my human?
Play chase with some doggie friends?
Nap on the couch, rug or dog bed?
Other?
Chase, chase and more chase!  I love to chase anything that moves.  Another dog, the geese that fly over, helicopters, motorcycles, the school bus, FedEx or UPS.  I also chase birds in the back yard.  I'm most happy when I'm very busy and there is a lot of action.  I also love to herd sheep - they are really fun!

After I've got my running in each day I love to lie about the house with my foster siblings.  Foster Mom won't let me get on the couch anymore because I growled once when she asked me to get down.  I learned that I should never sass my Foster Mom.  She used the mean voice which means that I've been a naughty dog.  I don't like the mean voice.
If you could choose any forever family - what would they be like? They would take me to the dog park or a place that I could run every day in the morning and evening so that I can work off some of my energy because I'm a very high energy girl.  I'm happiest when I can run, run, RUN! Only when I get the exercise that I need can I pay attention to my person and learn new things.  I'm very smart and I am frustrated when I don't get to use my mind.  I want someone to be my leader, but be kind to me.  If a person isn't my leader then I have to take over and it is very stressful for me to do that.  I've heard about doggie classes and that would be fun to try.  I LOVE herding sheep and would like to do that once per week.  Foster Mom says I'm a very good herder.  I think I might like agility too.   I like kids, but if they run or move fast I have to nip at them so I shouldn't live with them.

And there you have it, folks, straight from the dog’s mouth.
