Joni Lindberg has let us know that Kellie, Joni's older, sweet foster girl, died this morning at the vet's office. Kellie had been losing weight, was very confused, and could not rest, poor girl. Joni's vet surmises that Kellie had a brain tumor, and that she has had this degenerative condition for some time. Joni was with Kellie at the vet's office and held her until the end. Kellie has always seemed older than her age would indicate, and this condition would explain why.

Ruby at Rainbow Bridge August 18, 2004
Ruby came into rescue approximately 4 months ago at the age of 11. She was a healthy senior collie but stopped eating and interacting with others in the last week. Her foster family took her to the vet where it was discovered she had a mass in her stomach that was not there 4 months ago. As difficult as this is to do, it was decided to help Ruby cross to the bridge. Ruby was well loved and cared for in her short stay with MWCR thanks to her loving foster family. She went with them holding her and telling her how much she was loved and will be remembered in our hearts forever.
