"Hi! Our names are . . . . . . . Um . . . . ."
"Hello there, we’re called . . . . . . . . .Uh . . . ." "Howdy, this is my sister . . . . . . and I’m . . . . . . . . ."
"Gee, this is kind of embarrassing. You see, we don’t actually have names. We were just rescued from a shelter where our prior owner dropped us off in the middle of the night with nothing but the fur on our backs! No chew toys, no collar, no leash, and worst of all NO NAMES!! Even worse than that, this particular shelter was full up and so we were scheduled to be “put to sleep.” We’re not sure what that means, but it doesn’t sound good. We don’t like to sleep – we like to play!"
"The good news is that a collie rescue group came and got us and promised to find us good, forever homes. Until then we’re staying with this nice family who loves us. They have two other collies, two cats, four kids, two big people and a bird. Best of all, they have a big yard where we can all play almost all the time. People come to visit us and play with us, and they always ask that awkward question, “What are their names?” And the answer is always the same, “They don’t have names yet."
"We’re having a great time here, and we like these people, but frankly, they seem to be lacking in imagination! Could you help them out by giving us names? We’re both girls, and as you can see by our pictures, we are incredibly cute (if we do say so ourselves). We’re playful and friendly and like just about everyone – even the cats. That should be enough information for you to think of really great names for us. So please help us avoid those embarrassing pauses when some asks, 'What are their names?'"
