The Spirit of Perseverance Fund was instituted by Andi Wulff in memory of Persy (Perseverance), the poster boy for Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue (MWCR). Persy came into foster care with MWCR in June of 2002 having been shot in the face, and his injuries required a great deal of special care and financial resources. Due of his tragic past, Persy quickly became the poster boy of MWCR and came to embrace that title with his gregarious personality at appearances and events to meet all of his new friends. Persy passed away in June of 2007 having known much love and having made many, many friends. Persy's legacy is that, despite injuries inflicted by humans, he was an incredibly sweet and gentle dog who loved people. Read Persy's story here. The Spirit of Perseverance Fund is administered by a committee of volunteer members of Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue. This fund will help MWCR foster Collies with serious traumatic injuries. The funds will be disbursed directly to veterinary practices for emergency veterinary bills, including tests, surgeries, and medications Donations to the Spirit of Perseverance Fund are welcomed.
